The
Classical Academy Charter School of Clifton 1: "As a parent of a child attending the Classical Academy Charter School, I have been extremely pleased with the education my daughter has received there. The program is certainly more rigorous than the one offered at the public schools, and there are not a lot of frills, but the core curriculum is strongly focused on. In sixth grade, my daughter is doing eight grade math! The average class size is less than fifteen children. The Classical Academy is accomplishing all this with only 90% of the usual per pupil cost in Clifton, and our results will meet or beat that of comparable classes in the Clifton public schools". S.E. (Parent) 2: "I just wanted
to drop you a personal note to let you know what a g-d send the
Classical Academy was for my child. My child is a complex young man who,
due to the nurturing, family environment of the Academy, was able to
excel in
this middle school experience in a positive manner. Academically, he has
developed an appreciation for Latin and the classics. In fact, he never
misses an opportunity now to point out and/or translate a Latin phrase
he hears or sees. 3: As School Head, "you have always been accessible to parents any time of the day or night and provided just the right amount of "Tough Love" that they needed. We are so glad your dream became our reality." G.O. (parent) 4: "By going to a Charter School rather than a traditional public school is my child going to gain? WITHOUT A DOUBT! The quality of the education she is receiving at the Classical Academy Charter School of Clifton is so superior to the education she received in her previous five school years that I don't think I can find words to describe it. She is in a class that has eleven (11) students. Do parents understand the meaning of this? Do you know how much easier it is for you child to be taught? And, each class is 55 minutes long. That allows a lot more time to understand and learn. The school day begins at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. However, her day seems so much shorter because she actually enjoys being in school last year (5th grade) and so most of the years prior to that she was a D student in math. Now she is learning algebra and geometry and she is an A student. Why is that? Because her math teacher has the time to actually help her and teach her. This is something that has long been missing from most public schools. F.N. (Parent) |
